Celebrate Maine Lighthouse Week

June 26, 2009

If you don't have time for one of our overnight tours, we are offering a fabulous One Day Tour that includes Matinicus Rock Lighthouse.

This lighthouse is not one that you get a chance to see on lighthouse tours, but we have added it this year. It is a special treat to be able to cruise here.  It's one of the loneliest lighthouses on the coast.  Built in 1827, it sits on a barran rock  26 miles out to sea.
It's home to puffins in the summer.
And you will be able to observe these comical little birds.
Best known for Abbie Burgess, who kept the lights burning and saved her mother and two sisters during a violent storm while her father and brother were away getting provisions for the family.

This day is guaranteed to be one you will long remember.
Tour the Lighthouse Museum,
Visit and tour the Rockland Breakwater Light...Lunch included.

Cost of tour
$159. per adult,
$119. children under 13
